Glycerol is a simple molecule that is the backbone of several important biological molecules and fatty acids. This molecule has been shown to have the following benefits in humans:

Glycerol, once ingested orally, helps to increase osmotic pressure AND the body’s Total Water Volume! What this means in layman’s terms is that glycerol helps hyperhydrate your cells, especially muscle cells. This helps hydrate muscles, which aids in attenuating onset fatigue as they work (TLDR; more water in the muscle means the muscles don’t get fatigued as quickly). This “hyperhydration” effect that you see with Glycerol supplementation also helps with cardiovascular endurance! Because of the decrease in free water clearance, there’s an ancillary effect that includes lower heart rates and higher cardiac stroke volume! (in English, because the hyperhydration effect, the heart and surrounding cardiovascular system was able to more easily push fluid through the whole system)
In clinical studies, we see the clinical dose range from 2-6g. Although there are some products that go even beyond this standard dose!
